76: Anti-racism in a consciously intersectional way ~ Judith Burfoot, farmer & All Welcome Here PEC Founder

Anti-racism in a consciously intersectional way ~ Judith Burfoot, farmer & All Welcome Here PEC Founder Babes of Quinte

In 2019, Judith Burfoot, a Black woman in Prince Edward County, noticed a need for rural Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour (BIPOC) to connect and based on recent events, there was also a broader need for anti-racism. All Welcome Here is a non-profit organization that focuses on linking people of color in rural PEC in order to provide support, social connectedness and business assistance.

Judith moved to the County to farm sheep, goats, chickens, and vegetables, and provide a better life for her children.

Babes of Quinte please welcome Judith Burfoot, farmer and founder of All Welcome Here PEC.

Hey Babes!

We’re Katie & Kay and we’re the hosts of the Babes of Quinte podcast. We’re semi-qualified babes talking to the baddest and the brightest in the Bay of Quinte region.

babe /bāb/ being a babe has nothing to do with physical features, gender or sexual orientation. It’s a vibe. An aura. A quiet confidence.

If you believe you’re a babe, you are.

Welcome to our club.
