Did you know that Black Bear Ridge Golf Course started to unfold by Real Estate developers in the late 1980s? It took several years to reach its opening date in 2005 but it immediately became one of the top new golf course designs in North America by Golf Digest.
Fast forward to a Global pandemic when two outta towners, decided to buy the course and transform the golf course into a four-season resort.
Cale Fair grew up near Guelph and moved to Toronto for his career. After a start-up he had been working on went under, he took time off which ended up being extended due to a global pandemic. His friend, Alex Sharpe, who recently bought Black Bear Ridge, asked if he would like to lead the operations at Black Bear Ridge, and he decided it was a great opportunity.
Katie Parodo grew up in the Bay of Quinte and her first job was at Strato’s Pizza in Consecon then later attended Dalhousie University. She has server and hospitality experience which made her the perfect fit to take on the role of Hospitality Lead at the Black Bear Ridge Golf Course & Resort.
