We are honoured that our next guest took time out of his day to come in to record with us.
He is the definition of a Belleville local! He grew up in the east end and still lives in that area. His journey into music began when he was just nine years old. He picked up a guitar for the first time in the 6th grade and although impatient in the learning process made it work for him.
In middle school, he and a couple of buddies created a band and continued to play together through high school. After high school in the mid-70s, he did probably the coolest thing, and he and the band bought a used Econoline van and turned pro.
After a turn of events. He ended up back in Quinte in the 90s and even ran a daycare for a year called Mr. Mom. This is when he started playing children’s music. In the late 90’s, he teamed up with an old band member to start the band “All You Need Is Love”, they played their last show in 2021.
He did not stop there. In the early 2000s, he started playing music in retirement homes as a form of music therapy to help with memory loss.
Babes of Quinte please welcome the one and only Andy Forgie, a full-time musician and the promotions Manager at the Empire Theatre!
