38: A wedding venue, a love story & a magical team ~ 100 Acre Wood

We are honoured that the people we have in the recording studio today took time out of their busy schedules to sit down with us. We have had multiple past guest rave about their interactions with them.

Today we are chatting with the team from 100 Acre Wood. The owner Mary and Kevin met and fell in love in 2010. They had always felt a pull to the county and in 2015 they purchased the 100 Acre Wood property, knowing they would eventually be hosting memorable events. They hosted their first two weddings in 2017 which happened to be their own and then Mary’s sister’s.

They now host weddings all season long offering a magical venue and serving possibly the best food you have ever experienced. Mary is a planner at the venue and makes sure each couple’s wedding dreams come true. Kevin is in the back of the house cooking the most amazing meals with his team to make sure everyone is full and happy.

They have built a dynamic and diverse team. Elizah is their in-house wedding planner. She works to ensure wedding perfection. Akshara is a wonderful chef, who collaborates with the team on creating custom menus and ensuring dining perfection. They have many more incredible bartenders, cooks, and servers running flawless operations.

Babes of Quinte please welcome Mary, Kevin, Akshara, and Elizah, the wonderful team from 100 Acre Wood in Picton.

Hey Babes!

We’re Katie & Kay and we’re the hosts of the Babes of Quinte podcast. We’re semi-qualified babes talking to the baddest and the brightest in the Bay of Quinte region.

babe /bāb/ being a babe has nothing to do with physical features, gender or sexual orientation. It’s a vibe. An aura. A quiet confidence.

If you believe you’re a babe, you are.
