Today we are interviewing a Quinte transplant initially from Oromocto New Brunswick, which as of 2016 had a population of just over 9,000.

After getting out of New Brunswick he completed a Bachelor of Education at Queens University. His first teaching job took him out of the Country to Periera Colombia where he taught Grade 8. After teaching for a couple of years he completed a Masters of Education and is currently teaching in Belleville, Ontario. He teaches senior social studies, history, politics, and economics. He was Katie’s grade 8 basketball coach and teacher from 2009-2013.

In 2014, he was diagnosed with metastatic melanoma, a type of skin cancer, which spread to his lungs and brain. He went through chemotherapy and immunotherapy to fight cancer. During his recovery, he got into cycling and proceeded to cycle in the Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer, which raised money in support of the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre.

We may be the best storyteller we have had on the podcast so far and put up with all our tangents~ ladies, gentlemen and everyone in between please welcome Bob Loiselle!

Hey Babes!

We’re Katie & Kay and we’re the hosts of the Babes of Quinte podcast. We’re semi-qualified babes talking to the baddest and the brightest in the Bay of Quinte region.

babe /bāb/ being a babe has nothing to do with physical features, gender or sexual orientation. It’s a vibe. An aura. A quiet confidence.

If you believe you’re a babe, you are.

Welcome to our club.
